Get to know a few of the key players in the Hi-Way Safety Systems team!
Kathy DeLong has been with Hi Way Safety Systems, Inc. for over 24 years. As President and Chief Executive Officer, she plays a pivotal role in the overall direction and growth of the Company. Her work at Hi-Way Safety Systems covers a wide range of duties from Scheduling Coordinator to Director of Operations. She also plays a key role in the development and implementation of Company information systems and infrastructure. Kathy earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Iowa.
Tony Yakavonis has been an instrumental part of making Hi Way Safety Systems, Inc. successful for the past 20+ years as a road crew foreman and truck mount driver. Recently Tony has accepted the position as general supervisor. Tony is eager to offer his years of on-site training and to continue to develop his relationships with new and returning clients. While on-site Tony is responsible for the overall supervision and operation of activities including meeting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitioring and summarizing progress of projects. All of Tony’s experiences have led him to be skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that he will oversee and ensure customer satisfaction.
Ken Horn attended the University of Massachusetts where he studied business management. He was a member of the UMass Minutemen football team, which earned a spot in the 1978 Pioneer bowl, where they played for the 1AA national championship. After college, Ken began working in the pavement marking industry and now has in excess of 35 years experience. He is heavily involved with town sports and actively participates in numerous charitable organizations.
Eric Haughn has been with Hi-Way Safety Systems for the last 8 years in various roles on throughout the company. His work currently covers scheduling the crews, project management, and communicating with the customers for all projects. Eric attended Stonehill College where he studied Political Science and was also a member of the Stonehill Baseball team..
Sabrina Melchionno brings over 15 years of Project Management experience to Hi Way. Having worked in the construction, retail and janitorial industries her combined skill set was a unique addition to our team. Sabrina is currently managing the Northeast Corridor for state, municipality and private contracts. Sabrina has been tasked with growing Hi -Way through a combination of management, relationship, infrastructure, organization and marketing aspects. Sabrina graduated with a degree in Business Management and enjoys spending time with her family.
Paul Flynn started at Hi-Way Safety Systems in October 2014 with responsibilities related to Municipalities, including quality assurance, communication and sales. Paul has expertise in these areas after many years in the Advanced Medical Device industry, as an in-surgery consultant, where communication skills, and attention to detail are of utmost importance.
Ron Beaudoin has over 15 years of management experience in the heavy-highway industry, with positions including foreman, general superintendent, project manager, and sales. He has played an integral role in the development of the Company’s general contractor market base, and remains instrumental in the maintenance thereof. As a licensed agent, his experience extends into the real estate industry for a span of over 10 years. Ron also holds an associates degree in Law Enforcement.
Kathleen McGann has more than twenty years of accounting experience in a variety of industries. She has been working with Hi-Way Safety Systems for the last two years. Her responsibilities include cash position analysis, reconcoling multiple bank accounts, month end and year end close, as well as supervision of accounts payable and accounts receivable to assure accounts are posted properly and timely. Kathleen holds an Associates degree in Accounting from Quincy College.
Mike O’Neil began working with Hi Way as a Scheduler/Dispatcher for the New England area dealing primarily with municipalities. Mike has been working as a project manager in the telecommunications industry and is an integral asset to the Hi Way scheduling team. Mike is a graduate of Lasell College, with a degree in communications. Mike is involved in the local community and volunteers his time with many youth sports teams.
Brett began working with Hi Way Safety Systems in 2018. He works as a Project Manager overseeing the state of New York, and he doubles as our Safety Officer for crews across the entire company. He promotes a timely and efficient work style, with a primary focus on safety for everyone involved with his projects. Brett attended Merrimack College where he studied management and was also a member of the Merrimack football team.
